Bateman & Ogden

Established in Yorkshire in 1881, Bateman & Ogden played an important part producing cloth for garments of the soldiers serving in World War I. With a longstanding and glowing reputation of over 100 years, Bateman & Ogden are now worldwide suppliers of quality cloth for theatre, film and television as well as prestigious tailors of Great Britain and Savile Row. In 2012, Richard Lunn, who I have had the pleasure of knowing since the start of my career in bespoke tailoring, was appointed Director of Bateman & Ogden.

Dugdale Bros. & Co.

Founded in 1896, Dugdale Bros & Co pride themselves in supplying classic contemporary fabrics to tailoring professionals throughout the world. The 124 year family owned company with Rob Charnock at the helm, offers a wide range of exceptional cloth produced with passion to reflect their Yorkshire personality “in weight, durability and character”.

Cloth from Dugdale Bros. & Co. is pleasant to tailor and goes hand in hand to produce a striking Pratt & Prasad bespoke garment.

Harrisons

Harrisons was established in 1863 by the intriguing Mr George Harrison. Having begun his working life as an apprentice tailor in early 1800s Edinburgh, he went on to be a hat-maker, president of Scotland’s oldest chess club, Lord Provost of Edinburgh, a member of Parliament and an all round fashion icon! His legacy is very much alive today with the luxury cloth produced by Harrisons.

Harrisons portfolio has grown hugely over its reign. By working with Harrisons, Pratt & Prasad also gain access to:

With a relatively younger heritage, but certainly not be overlooked, English Cloth have quickly made their mark in the textiles industry. Continuing to use sustainable techniques and processes reminiscent of the late 18th Century, English Cloth are ardent benefactors to sustainably supporting their local mills, spinners, weavers and finishers in Yorkshire. Fox Brothers

Fox Brothers & Co Ltd, also known as “The Merchant Fox” has been trading since 1772. Woven in Somerset, South West England, it has a worldwide presence and is particularly favoured for its flannels. Fox’s cloths have been worn by many a discerning gentleman including Winston Churchill, the Duke of Windsor and legend and style icon Cary Grant. With a Pratt & Prasad suit in a Fox’s cloth, you will have a reliable garment that will elevate you to be with the Great British icons.

Dashing Tweeds

Dashing Tweeds was founded in 2006 by fashion photographer Guy Hill, alongside woven textiles designer Kirsty McDougall. Their aim was to produce high quality British tweeds with a modern design using technical yarns. With their original and eye catching designs, a Dashing Tweeds cloth can be recognised instantly in a crowd. We are such fans of Dashing Tweeds, so much so that Haddon made his wedding suit using their ‘Parsec’ design. Holland & Sherry cloth merchants

Holland & Sherry

Holland & Sherry was founded in 1836 in London. The company is known for its high-quality fabrics made from a variety of materials including wool, cashmere, silk and linen. The company was founded by two brothers, John Holland and Henry Sherry, who were both experienced weavers. The brothers began their business by selling fabrics to local tailors. They quickly expanded their operation and began selling fabric to customers all over the world.

In the early 1900s, Holland & Sherry became one of the leading suppliers of fabrics to Savile Row. The company’s fabrics were known for their high quality and their ability to be tailored to perfection. Holland & Sherry’s fabrics were also used by some of the most famous designers of the 20th century, including Coco Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent and Ralph Lauren.
